Founded in 1961, COMEX, with its expertise and history, now offers a wide range of aquatic and hyperbaric training programs. With a technical platform that includes three pools, including a main one of 1800 m², COMEX is capable of offering numerous practical training opportunities on its site.
Team of Instructors
The instructors are professionals in rescue and intervention in aquatic and hyperbaric environments, including professional diving instructors, aquatic environment instructors, sea survival instructors, doctors, and nurses.
All our training courses are based on a professional training and assessment framework, with an individual training booklet provided for each participant.
Article R4534-136 of the French Labor Code
In force since May 1, 2008
When workers are exposed to drowning risks, the employer shall, in addition to the safety measures prescribed by this chapter, implement the following specific protective measures:
- 1 Workers who are exposed must be equipped with life jackets.
- 2 An alarm signal is provided.
- 3 If necessary, at least one boat, manned by boatmen who are able to swim and dive, is stationed permanently near the most dangerous workstations. This boat is equipped with boat hooks, ropes, and life buoys. The number of rescue boats is proportional to the number of workers exposed to the risk of drowning.
- 4 When work is carried out at night, adjustable spotlights are installed to illuminate the water’s surface, and the boatmen are equipped with powerful lamps.
- 5 When a fixed worksite employing more than twenty workers for more than fifteen days is remote from any first aid station, an artificial respiration device or any other device or means of at least equivalent effectiveness must be permanently available on the site.
